Polynesia - Talamaur

Talamaur (possibly also known as Tarunga): This creature sucks the life from the dying and sometimes devours the heart of healthy men while they sleep. Australia has a vampire by the same name but has different characteristics.

Portugal - Bruxa

Bruxa (female) or Bruxo (male): Generally a woman that was a human at day, a bird by night: it sucks the blood of children, and was a popular excuse to murder women during the Inquisition. It is often erroneously spelled Broxa, Broxo, and Bruha. Bruxsa is a possible regional variation, but this may be more of a Mara type creature.
